Inspiration
Joe Hawkins was born inspired by the youth trends of the British sixties and seventies, an era marked by a love for music and fashion. It was a time when multicultural groups of young people stood out for their elegant yet irreverent style, their way of dancing, and the music that made them vibrate. Joe Hawkins pays tribute to that era, bringing the best of that unique style and fusing it with a modern touch and character, for those who seek to stand out from the crowd.
Our values
Joe Hawkins is much more than a clothing brand; it is a project that seeks to build a fair and inclusive world, starting with something as everyday as getting dressed. We believe a society that respects the environment, people, and animals is possible, and we are here to make it a reality.
In our garments, we seek to use environmentally friendly materials and we strive to minimize textile waste, even reusing some materials to create new garments.
In addition, we produce locally in Colombia in small quantities, avoiding overproduction so as not to generate unnecessary waste. Our tailoring is carried out in small workshops, where we collaborate with female heads of households and women victims of the conflict in Colombia.
Last but not least, we are a vegan brand because we believe that animals deserve respect. We do not need to use animal-derived products to create incredible, high-quality clothing.
